The Africa Diaspora market
Our work gives us a specific outreach within the Ghana-Netherlands professionals environment. Our team and our partners give us the opportunity to reach:
The Diaspora
Over the last ten years, the term ‘Ghanaian Diaspora’ has evolved as part of a discussion on international development and migration platforms. It is now being applied to refer to nationals of a country living abroad (in a country other than their country of origin), including second and third generation descendants of those who originally left. (Global Migration Group.org, 2021).
Since its establishment in 2016, BYAustin has capitalized on a growing interest, namely from the second and third generation of Ghanaian immigrants based in mainland Europe (the Netherlands respectively) to influence the social and economic development of the ‘motherland’ Ghana. The company has facilitated members of the Diaspora who seek to acquire financial capital, skills, networks and ideas to grow their business (idea) in the motherland and within the Diaspora environment.
Our goal is to connect our Diaspora communities of professionals and business to capacities and potential incentives for permanent or temporary returns, investments, knowledge transfers, tourism or philanthropy.
